EVENT : 2018 SUNY BROOME’s Driver Education Program is participating in several activities
this Fall to support the “Teen Crashes GTG (Got To Go) “program.
WHEN: October 11th, 2018 . Teen Traffic Safety Month . - Topic for our booth is "Stop, Turn Around, Don't Drown
· Students will work on various media projects throughout the week to get the word out about safe driving during floods.
· Parents and Students will be invited to participate in a Teen Driving Day at the arena
· Students will experience safety activity demonstrations
WHO: SUNY Broome’s Driver Education Program in conjunction with the New York Teen Safe Driving Coalition,
funded by The Allstate Foundation and managed by the National Safety Council
WHERE: Broome County Arena
WHY: Motor vehicle crashes are the No. 1 killer of teens in the United States. Every year, more than 5,000 people die in
teen-related motor vehicle crashes. To address this, New York lawmakers have enacted one of the strongest
Graduated Driver Licensing laws in the country. Students at [Insert School Name] are working to ensure that teen
drivers and passengers know and practice safe driving techniques.
